Here is the pdf for your pump (hopefully) - http://www.freshwatersystems.com/specif ... 94-144.pdf . If the pump is running continuously, then there is a malfunction with the pressure switch or the pump is not achieving the 45 psi cut-off.

As an aside (and not related to your problem), I would say that your accumulator is too small - a 2 gallon size would have been preferable - http://www.freshwatersystems.com/p-3682 ... steel.aspx .

Eric,

I've Read and Re-read that PDF, I'm assuming it is not achieving the cut off also, but I can't seem to figure out "why".

Do you know a procedure for testing this? Should I remove the accumulator, install a pressure gauge at the outlet and just verify that it's pumping the correct PSI first?

As for the accumulator, I saw in another thread that you recommended that, how does that even work, it appears to only have one inlet? Do you just T into that? I have no problem upgrading to that, heck its even cheaper than the one I purchased.

J -

There is no need to remove the accumulator.

I typically install a brass cross rather than a tee on the accumulator but certainly a tee is more readily available. The cross allows for the installation of a nice 0-60 psi gage. You also need a "tire gage" to occasionally check the precharge pressure of the accumulator.

Is the pump actually moving water? If so, and it doesn't cut off against a closed hose, then it's the pressure cutoff.
If not, it could need priming....

It was moving water just fine. I pumped about 2-3 Gallons through it, the accumulator, and both filters, before even hooking it up to the machine. At that point I just had it emptying into a waste bucket, after the last filter, so the continuous running issue, wasn't apparent, because it was obviously continually pumping, but then I hooked it up to the machine, and it was still running continually. It appears to prime just fine, but when I close one of the shutoff valves to stop the flow of water, it doesn't seem to hold the water in the line (coming from the water bottle), the water drops back to the bottle, even though the pump is running. I'm going to play with the shut-off adjustment tonight, and also check the pressure on the Accumulator to make sure it has proper pressure.

This will probably sound stupid, but can someone explain the easiest way to ensure that there is no air trapped in the system, from the pump through the accumulator, and also into the GS3.

The boilers were previously full, and bleed, from when I had the water tank attached.

So, the problem is fixed ?

Just run the pump until water flows from the accumulator outlet (or hose attached to the accumulator), shut the pump down, and then connect that hose to the GS/3.

And post a pic of the setup.

Isolate the pump by placing a shut off right at the pump and see if it turns itself off.

It's not fixed, I feel like I've ran through all possible issues, but having air in the lines was one that I wasn't sure how to remedy. I checked the pressure on the accumulator which had 45psi so that should be fine, I tested with a shut off after the accumulator, I don't see any leaks anywhere.

I'll try this tomorrow morning. I'm in Miami today for work. If this doesn't work my assumption is that the pump is faulty, and I'm going to see what I can do about exchanging it.

Until you get this solved you can just take the line directly from the GS3 and shove it directly into the water bottle. At least you can have some espresso while you wait.
