Hi all. Just looking at buying someone's NS Mac 2000 and after hooking it up and pushing the power button the pump kicks in but after about a minute it starts beeping and doesn't stop until you shut it off. Anyone know why and how to solve the problem? Thanks.

If the pump is running continuously as it might if trying to fill an empty boiler, the alarm may be sounding as a possible indication of failure of the autofill circuit. When starting a machine with an empty boiler that has no manual fill valve, I run the pump for no more than 30 seconds at a time, to save the pump and prevent alerting the autofill/volumetric circuitry. Be sure to check the sight glass to ensure the pump is not trying to overfill the boiler, in which case you would check the autofill probe for scale and of course the rest of the machine for scale, to determine sale value.
