New CEME pressurestat, now it seems to wander?!? - Page 2

Let me also toss in that I never had as large of a swing as you. On my Isomac, it would settle about .1 bar one way or the other. So if I adjusted it to 1 bar on the bottom, two days later I might find it running at .90 bar if I did not 'exercise' the Pstat.

Thank you to all that gave me feedback. :!: :!: :!: :D :D

I think little exercises like these are very revealing. I consider myself very adept mechanically. And my initial frustration very surprising to myself. Cannonfodders suggestion about really letting off all pressure before any readjustment was critical! The screw is already hyper sensitive, and to have any tension on it while adjusting is just asking for trouble. What I thought was goig to be a "plug and play " scenario was much more involved.

The screw was so much smoother to turn with the pressure released. All in all, it still took me about another 5 cycles of power up , check reading, shut off and release pressure, then adjust. Power up- repeat to get to my desired set points.

I have been sitting wonderfuly at Element ON @ .95bar - OFF @ 1.1 bar : with a time off of about 45 seconds, element on for about 8 seconds.

No but I just figured your screwdriver would've found it's way in there by now. I did install the pressurestat so you can tweak to your heart's content without taking anything apart. :D
I guess after reading so much in this forum about tempurature control of the group I'm wondering if I'm missing something by just walking up to Dulcinia, pulling a shot or two, drinking and enjoying it. Maybe I can do better if I paid attention to detail a little more?
