While we are at it, anyone know how to fit part #5 in the illustration on page 360-8 for my car?

Is it necessary for it to fit to use the machine? I have a two-group from '63 and the rigenerazione knob does absolutely nothing. By the way, a picture would be helpful ;)

Here is a picture of the valve on my machine to the right of the group there is a barb fitting , when you turn the knob water comes out of there directly without going to the boiler. I think it is to flush salt when you clean the resin filter
Thanks
