Hello,
I've had the same problem with a blown GICAR control box. Have you seen the other posts regarding this issue? Here are some that have helped me.

Valentina died, needs resusitation-advice!

This link has the cheapest I've seen for a control box : http://www.espressoparts.com/W26305

Should you find a cheaper one, please let me know, I'm still looking for one. I just dont have a couple hundred to drop on it right now. Im in the middle of a restoration which will require some cash.

Hi, will that one fit a Giotto? I'll buy it if it does. I talked to David at espresso parts and he referred me to Nuova Recambi, who has the correct one for $150.. Only problem is they don't deal with individual buyers, and it would take 30-45 days to come in (Italy)

GICAR is good about putting a very informative label on their control boxes. I dont know if the control box i showed you would fit your machine, but if you compare your label to the specs on the one for sale...you're good to go.

Now, if it doesnt match up you can google the SRL# on the label. Most important thing to look for is the volts of the control box. It might be a 110v 0r 115v and the one for sale may be a 220v...so please be sure it does match up.

Another idea...take a pic of your control box and we may be able to help you find one. Just a thought.

You will need this one: http://www.espressoparts.com/W18043. I use it always as a replacement in the ECM Giotto.
This one has the power cut-off when the water tank level gets low.
You only have to make a small change. The OEM version has 2 ground contacts, this one has only one (connector no 3). Just connect the 2 ground wires together on the contact.
Contact no.9 can be used for a "low level warning light", just keep it unused.
