Hi there:
I am restoring a Faema single group. Manufactured in 1991.
I believe it is a Compact S or C85.

It is a 120v machine and I need to replace the heating element.
I've searched the web for the part, the closest I could find was this one:

http://www.espressoparts.com/cgi-bin/ep ... strfnbr=71

however my heating element looks like this -has other connections not available in the above element-:

My questions are:
Does anyone know if this the burner available from espressoparts.com will work or does anyone have a used one like the exact one I need in good condition, available for sale?
Thanks, Ana

Hi there,
You'll find that they're exactly the same item. If you unscrew the bit that has broken off(base of hi-temp safety switch) on your element, it will then look exactly like the replacement part.
You will also need to replace the hi-temp safety thermostat, which in the pics looks like it has broken off into two parts.
Check that this is not the reason your element doesn't work. Could be that only the thermostat needs replacing, which is a $20 part.
Cheers
