That is your problem. I am not going to bash Lavazza, if you like it then enjoy it but they are far from fresh coffee's and you could get bags that are weeks and months apart in age. That aside, you effectively changed the blend which will require a change in grind and dose. You used the same brand but the blends can be very different in roast level and composition.
