Hi guys,

My Rocket machine wasn't filling up with water so after a while and putting it on/off I decided to, just like I do when descaling, disconnect the level probe wirehead. This didn't work but actually made water squirt out of the boiler. When it stopped I couldn't fit in the level probe correctly anymore, the opening seems too wide for the probe

Any recommendations on what to do?

Best,

SJ

The level probe is held in place by a teflon sheath, which itself is tightened by a nut on the probe fitting. The fitting screws into the boiler using the larger nut; tightening or loosening the top, smaller, nut will adjust how tightly the probe is held. Here is a post from Eric Svendson illustrating the probe's construction and operation: Vetrano Boiler Fill Solenoid Issue?

I think the plastic fitting (printscreen) got loose and fell into the boiler since the probe now is really loose.

Well, if you can't tighten the probe by tightening the smaller top nut, then you will likely need to order a new probe with fitting.
