I understand that it's possible to use a few p-stat models. What is the difference between them? Is it worth paying the extra 50-60$ to get a Sirai P-stat or is the Ma-ter good enough?

Thanks!

God bless the father then. If he solves the problem you are set.

I recommended the easiest solution with regard to simplicity of fit. Some recommend the Sirai but the fit is tight so careful mounting is required. A Mater will not fail on schedule after a couple years in spite of what some forums will direct you to believe. Replace it with what is easiest to install and wait out the thousands of hours of life for the newer part in peace.

Well, I got half lucky. My father drilled it open, replaced one of the seals and closed it back with screws. It's working now, nothing is shorting out, but there's a slight hissing sound so I'd still rather replace it.
I saw that there's place for 3 wires on the MATER\CEME pressurestats (Is one of them better by the way?) the open, close and common. On my Campini there's only two.
Could there be compatibility problems?
And the guy might have sold me an ancient machine, you never know, the whole deal seemed a bit weird but I still think it was a great buy.

Thanks!

Having sold at least 3 Oscars and in the mist of selling another, I've seen the Oscar guts a time or two. Just from that first small picture you posted, I can see some well worn pieces. I'm 99% sure that unit is an oldie.
One thing fo' sho'... it's ain't no year old...lol.

I've had it myself for two years or so, but like I said the whole deal smelled a bit. I only paid about 500$ for it back then so it was well worth it.

Hi,

Could anybody please recommend a trustworthy store that has one of them in stock? I've checked espressoparts, chriscoffee and such, it doesn't seem to be avilable.

Thanks
