Leaking Andreja Premium

Postby marfer on Mon Apr 25, 2011 1:00 am

Some newbie advice here...
Came home to find my Andreja Premium had leaked about 2 cups of water!
I preceded to take off the case and try to figure out what had happened.
I couldn't find anything, everything was dry? My clever wife grabbed the drip tray filled it up with water
and placed on a dry piece of paper towel. In a few minute the paper towel was wet!
We found one of the 2 screws that holds on the front plate of the drip tray was loose and leaking water.
So... don't panic when you have a leak, check your drip tray, or better yet remember to empty it out
when you're done.

VBM's will do that as well. The drip tray handle is attached to the drip tray with two screws and there is no rubber washer in there. Just a screw, lock washer then through the drip tray. When the water level gets over the screws, it will drip as you discovered. You could try taking the screws out, put a small rubber washer on between the screw and drip tray. That may stop the drip, or at least minimize it.

My andreja sprung a leak once. Couldn't figure it out, and was about to panic when I realized that I hadn't put the return tube back into the reservoir.
