Hi guys. I decided to try a big commercial HX vs dual boiler experiment with a 2005 Pavoni Pub. Before I bought it, I tested the pump (slight leak from the shaft side and was able to fill the boiler, feel it heat up, and get some water through the gunked up group (disconnected the inlet line from the pump and just drew from a container).

Fast forward a week, I've brought it home, ran more water through the group and the pump sounds smooth, both gauges work. But I decide to swap the pump for my spare new Fluid-o-tech rotary and plumb-in, while the original Procon goes off to JC Beverage for seals. But this new pump sounds like it's straining and flowing a little slow, regardless of adjustment
Also, I can see more vibration of the lines (running out of the pump) than I should if things are running smoothly. To pull this shot I had to adjust my grind noticeably more coarse than what has been working at 9 bar in my other machines.

Has anyone experienced something like this?
