3rd block, 11th value rCJ I had to off

Now I'm reading room temp, time to do some more testing...I think we're on to something!

Nice...the TC is much happier now - although still reading a bit low.

In a ice bath, it's reading 31.x and under my tongue it's reading 96.6

I can almost smell espresso brewing in the morning :)

Try using a T thermocouple setting... from the color codes I suspect that is what you have.

Close enough. If you want to dial it in closer then follow Eric's suggestion and measure the temp of condensing steam above boiling distilled water. Best results if PID is at same operating temp as when in service.

Close enough is right! :)

I let the machine idle all night, ran some water through the groups and did the autotune this morning as the EPNW instructions state. Time to make some coffee!

Big thanks to everyone that chimed in and helped drive this to resolution. I have a feeling there is some other settings that could be tweaked in there, but I'm gonna leave well enough alone at this point.

One more suggestion, since you have a two group Linea like Greg does, use his settings for PID. Autotune just sets the PID based on your boiler at rest. Once you start pulling a shot, it won't respond correctly. It will be too slow for a proper recovery. Greg did all the homework for you, use it. I did (although I modified it for a one group) and it works great! For temperature control of the Linea, gscace is my Guru!!
