There are other places in Europe that carry the part for cheaper. One place in Germany that I have done business with before has it on their website listed for 650 Euros with 19% VAT. Quite a significant discount to what LMUSA is charging. If you need more details feel free to reach out, I am not sure whether they speak English.

My boss (Espresso machine/grinder dealer) here in Germany is currently looking for the cheapest solution. Once I find something out I'll post it here. Also if you need help with translation between German and English I can help.

Mine is 3 years old, and to change the temp I just push the "function" and "+" button, then hit the "+" or "-" to raise or lower the temp. Once you have it where you want, push the "function" button again to store the setting. For the steam boiler, substitute the "O" for the "+" while pressing the "function" button. Takes all of a second or so to access and exit.FotonDrv wrote:Does this most current issue of the GS/3 MP have a simple GUI? Can you change shot temperature easily?
I had an older version and hated the way it needed to be programmed to change things rather than just see the temp and change it up or down.
What did you have to do on yours?

I have not owned mine in several years and have forgotten the routine, but at the time I thought it ponderous to just raise and lower the temps. In fact the Owners Manual had very little on the MP version and was obviously geared toward the AV version.
Thanks for the response

I believe the program interface hasn't changed as you still toggle through a hierarchy of sub menus for each setting. It's fine for how infrequently I make changes. I think they would need a touch panel to make it more dynamic.

No need to wade through sub menus to change brew temp or steam, just use the "quick key" access like Merle explains:jgirl125 wrote:I believe the program interface hasn't changed as you still toggle through a hierarchy of sub menus for each setting. Ah, thanks for the reminder. I had to dig out the manual to figure out what button combo to use. And it's pretty quick to change Brew boiler or Steam Boiler temp that way.
