This is standard with the new MP.

Curious that they want $1K for that valve...

I was thinking about this today to try and come up with a reason on how they could justify it. Some rambling thoughts:

On one hand considering they want $7500 MSRP for the machine, I think the group assembly accounting for 13% of the price seems reasonable.
On the other hand, you already bought the machine you are effectively patching it from a (what i think) was a deficient design. It should be free for all MP owners!
On the first hand again, I think most of us purchased the original group open-eyed and weren't exactly hoodwinked. I knew I wasn't going to be able to get repeatable manual pressure control and I bought it anyway. I did purchase a product at an agreed upon price.

Not that I would, but I know that LM has been receptive to complaints in the past to other people. I imagine you can get a decent discount if you talk to them and really express your discontent with the lack of pressure control and having to pay $1k to fix a "design flaw"

Hi all!
I just asked Scott Callender about the Conical upgrade, when and if it's going to be affordable since its currently around $1k. He said there is a lot of talk about this at the moment and they (LM home) are working on putting a package together for the US market. He said look for more information on it next month.

That doesn't help me since I'm in Germany but thought I'd pass on the news anyways.

Unfortunately you missed out on a great deal that LM Deutschland was running until April 30th. Price was half of what they currently list on their website. Hopefully LM USA will run a similar promotional offer now.

I'll contact LM tomorrow and chat with them about the instructions and, pump switch position.
Did you get your concerns with the pump switch addressed after talking to LM?

Unfortunately work's been pretty nuts this week so, I haven't had a chance to call Chris, in spite of his very polite offer.

I hope they reduce the price... and give me a refund for the difference!

Great discussion on the amount of change behind the conical valve. I can confirm the 2016 GS/3 MP from the factory does dump allot of water during pre infusion. It doesn't effect anything other than maybe a slight increase in how often I fill the reservoir. That hasn't bothered me at all.

Does this most current issue of the GS/3 MP have a simple GUI? Can you change shot temperature easily?

I had an older version and hated the way it needed to be programmed to change things rather than just see the temp and change it up or down.
