La Marzocco GS3 eSteam

Postby Jacob on Fri Sep 30, 2011 8:18 pm

I have modified my 4+ year old GS/3 running software rev. 1.11.
I have been planing to do this since Steaming with La Marzocco GS3
- better late than never

I'll never use the tea water and don't like the way the wand restricts the access to the control buttons, so I removed the system completely.

I then reused the solenoid and the electronics from the tea water system to control the steam 8)
And I have now replaced the lever control with a supplementary steam button.

Precisely as hoped for the steam wand now drains much faster - and with lot less water coming out 8)
Using the build in tea water system to control the steam, I now have timed steaming

For the time being the timer is set for a max filled pitcher and if it wasn't for the video I
would manually have stopped the steaming a few seconds earlier with this amount of milk.
