No, I asked and also for any portafilters or parts and he said that is all he had. What will the pump and motor run me? $350. and up I'm guessing. Oh well, tough to look a gift horse in the mouth!

Easy, sell the grinders, buy a pump and a PF. A pump from Espresso parts is about 250. If you want a genuine PF, add another 100 or so. Another option is from here for 50 bucks.

EPNW for the motor. The pump can be had on eBay for 50 bucks if you look around, otherwise it's probably 100 or more or so from EPNW or the like.

It's worth a call to These guys too! Talk to Joel and see if he has anything left. Could be a pump and motor, a handful of baskets, and three or four portafilters for the price of a motor elsewhere. Tell him Chris (Psyd) sent ya, and I'm still waiting for him to process my Visa card, and if he doesn't want to, then thanks for the X-mas gifties!

Heres a little update...a great deal might only turn into a good deal. In checking into the condition a little closer I see this on the brew boiler, element side....

It looks to have split about half way around but is still intact on the bottom side. Looks like maybe it froze somewhere along the line I'm guessing. I'll have to take it all apart to get a better look when I have more time. Could be a 128# paperweight, ha!

D'oh! Well, I suppose that's one of the best places for the tank to split - can be re-welded back together.

I would welcome feedback from anyone more versed in welding than me (almost everyone else) as to the possibility of getting this back together in one piece. Until I remove it and can get a good look at it and look for any other possible damage that may have occurred, it would be nice to know in advance if it is or is not remotely feasible to do a repair to this boiler. Thanks.

Big ouch. If that occurred from freezing the tank and most of the innards are likely damaged also.
