Yes, that's a good price and yes it will, of course, sorta work, but I do believe you might regret not going with the 2 gallon or even slightly larger size.

Just got the FloJet bottle dispensing system but still waiting for the accumulator pictured in this thread

Picking the right bottled water pump

I'm wondering what fittings I would need to hook up to the Cimbali?

Thanks

Decided to forgo the hand polishing of the SS pieces and just dropped off all the pieces to an electropolisher in North Arlington NJ. I also included the doser from my newly acquired RIO/Mazzer SJ. I'm hoping to get them back within a week and post pictures of the results. By that time I should have the accumulator and able to get the plumbing completed. The temporary wiring is almost done and I should be able to start testing out the Cimbali and the La Spaz Rapid EK (haven't touched that machine since buying it).

An extension from my question in the last post - Could I hook up both the La Spaz and the Cimbali to the same bottle using just the one pump?

Mike: Is there anything the electropolisher will be doing that comes into contact with the flow of water/coffee? If so, make sure it's a food safe process.

Mark,

That's something I didn't even think about but fortunately the answer is no, the closest would be the drip pan.

If you went with one of the hot water pressure 2 gal sized pressure heads then I doubt there would be a problem below 30 shots per hour. You can split that what ever way you want.

The flojet takes about 2 minutes to bring that head back to full pressure. Then I get about 10-12 shots with flushing before the flojet kicks back on again.

That should give you what you need to do the math.

The Cimbali PROBABLY has a 3/8"-19 BSPP male nipple. It will accept a typical dishwasher connection hose (Home Depot, Lowes, etc., etc.) and the other end can be adapted to your accumulator which has 1/2"-14 female NPT threads. Put a ball valve in this line close to the machine for convenience.

Eric

Thanks for the info. I will give the dishwasher hose a try.

Keep in mind, a dishwasher hose will be a pipe thread not a BSPP although they are often close enough to work if you give the BSP a few wraps of Teflon tape.
