Macro picture request for the LCD display board, front and back if you could. I am thinking that it may be a standard LCD module.

I hear you. This resto has been dragging on and I'll be the first one to admit it. I would love to post some final pics but I have a copper tube on order and really can't button it up until I get it installed (its the tube that feeds the boiler pressure gauge - it's got a crack at one of the fitting ends and it leaks pretty bad). I also have to replace the boiler safety valve and the vacuum breaker ( on order with the tube). Once those are in place I will close it up and take some pics with the electropolished SS.

on some cimbali, the hot water is locked out until the machine is up to temp. I wonder if this is causing your grief. No doubt someone will be along soon to help.

Paul,

This information was also confirmed by an espresso machine repairman in NC, Nick Dakas from VP Coffee. He mentioned that if I simulated the boiler coming up to pressure (temp) I should be able to get the hot water solenoid to work. He was correct. The pressure stat only has 12v wires mounted so I simply broke the connection and this act of simulating the disconnection of the heating element enabled the hot water circuit. I tested this several times and the results were the same. So after hitting the hot water button the solenoid fires and the pump turns on. I also found out that the pump simply pumps in new water to replace the hot water drawn from the tap and doesn't pump put hot water. The steam pressure within the boiler is responsible for pushing the water to the tap. I haven't been able to test this since there have been leaks and I've never had the boiler up to full operating temp/pressure. I'm sure it will work though.

Thanks for your help.

Nice, I need one of the connector on the left. And a couple of the front, or if you can tell me if it is a 2x20 or 2x32 or 2x40 display.

It didn't look big enough for a four line display.

It looks like a standard LCD display engine based on a simi-modern chip that is used everywhere.

Minor update. Found out the tube I'm waiting for won't be leaving Italy until the 28th of this month. So I still have some time. I ordered two no burn steam arms from SeattleCoffeGear and they came yesterday. I wanted to replace the stock M30 wands with them. The nut that came with the no burn wands wasn't going to work. Fortunately the pivoting end of the wand could be unscrewed and I removed the nut. I had to cut the two Cimbali wands to get to the attachment nut which I then used on the no burn wands. Worked perfectly. Will take some pics later and post.
