Kees van der Westen announces production one group Speedster! - Page 7

Yup, you are correct. The price ex factory is 4975 Euros, payable by money transfer (no credit cards!). Apparently Kees is unable to offer a significant enough discount to wholesalers, so will sell the machine directly. They will also help to organise freight etc.

It makes it a bit more expensive than the GS3, and its 'unproven', but IMO Kees' reputation and the Speedsters style make it worth the chance over the LM.

There is a bit of a wait involved. I ordered one at the end of July, it is expected to be ready for shipping in the first half of January... I believe the first production units will be shipping shortly, if not already.

That is definitely my dream machine. Chris is right regarding the price of 4995 Euro. Put's it right up there with the Synesso and GS/3 single-groups. I wonder what the shipping would be? Would it travel by sea or air?

Not sure re the shipping cost. Kees has agreed to have mine delivered to Amsterdam airport (about 1.5hrs from his factory) and I am fortunate to have access to cheap airfreight. I believe the boxed weight will be around 100kgs, and dimensions probably 40x60x70cm or so. I guess it can go via sea or air at buyers choice (and expense!)
