I am on that forum also and have seen the pictures. Beware: only photos nr. 5&6 are of the Speedster. The rest is different stuff. This is actually talking about the Speedster (there is English also):

Nice, but I was just curious how using a (POM)Delrin Diffuser would be a good thing. I would think that if the diffuser is just above the shower screen, it couldn't help transfer the heat from the group to the screen. AFAIK Delrin is pretty neutral in retaining heat, but it is super easy to machine. Also I always thought that this material was only rated up to 180F.
I've never tried brewing espresso with a lower temp shower screen, maybe it's a good thing?

it's not a mistral.
it's a speedster.
it doesn't use LM group etc.
unique machine.

Milton wrote:I just received an email from Kees. He is working on pricing now-adding up the costs of parts. He said the Speedster will not have a UL or NSF. Kees brother thought the plastic paddle wheel did not look good, so kees replaced it with a stainless steel lever and handle. Then, he polished the front of the machine.

A few of the six Mk I machines Kees did for close relatives, but he must have skipped on brother. He then had some parts left over that he used to do a seventh Mk I for that brother. A few parts of the LM paddle group were missing, so he solved that the way the picture shows.
Basically Milton's picture shows a slightly, cosmetically, modified Speedster Mk I.
The new Mk II machine is totally different, except for the coach and foot work.

Spot on.

Mk II coach and footwork are much the same.

Group, drip tray, innards - the complete espresso machine architecture - are all totally different.

Kees posted some pictures of the new speedster with black side panels. The red-and-yellow stripes seem to be in keeping with the hot-rod look, but black might fit into the decor better in some homes... :)

Where is the estimated $10K US price tag coming from?

His web site states:

Price of Speedster
The price of the Speedster has been determined on Euro 4.975,=.

Might I guess correctly that it means 4,975 Euros? if so then it translates to $7301.82 US. That's about the price of a GS3 or a one group Cyncra. granted - shipping and duties form Europe will push the price up but is the $4975 Euro figure is correct than it looks to be a very realistic price for this quality of machine.
