Lately I've been making espresso again, and succeeded in melting the handle of the Primula Express I've been using on the stove the other morning, which reminded me: A year or two ago I bought this really great looking little machine from a thrift store, but it's missing its portafilter.
I can't find much info on it on the net; this is the only reference I've found to the exact machine I've got, but the site is dormant, and they never replied to my mails a couple years back. I bought a La San Marco portafilter from Espresso Parts a couple of years ago when I first got the machine, but it turned out to be for a commercial model and was far too large for mine.
Searching again today, I notice its general form is very similar to the La Pavoni Euromatic, Lelit PL041, Rancilio Silvia, etc. Are the portafilters on these machines a standard (interchangable)? Is there anyplace I might find an exact 'La San Marco MINI/85 portafilter' I could check first?
And besides that, has anyone else got one of these? Mine's red and white, and had a crisp, clean copy of the manual tucked into the water reservoir.
