At least that's what I think you call it. I'm having problems with my Quickmill Anita (3 years old, never descaled) so I have done some amateur wrenching around with the machine.
I'm talking about the tube under the group head that shoots water down into the catch tray when you clean it with a blind filter. Also known as the thing that when you leave a spoon under it blasts water all over your shirt.
It has a cap on the bottom that I removed (a washer, spring and hard rubber piece came out) and I also removed the body of it with a pipe wrench so that the whole 4 or 5 inch long thing was off.
At the top is a brass piece with a short triangular tube on one end, and a long one on the other.
When I reinstalled, I pointed the short end up into the group head, and the longer end downward into the main piece. At the bottom cap, I placed the hard rubber part so that the round end pointed upward, then the spring, then the gasket and cap.
I know this description must sound like a mess, but it's the best I can do. Now the thing either leaks under pressure, or no water gets through it at all, depending on how hard I tighten it.
Is there a torque spec?
Any help appreciated,
Thanks,
John
