Get a Mazzer or Macap grinder, you won't need another grinder for a long time.

You would probably be ok with a single boiler machine like a silvia, a HX machine is a plus.

Don't forget needing good fresh beans.

And who knows, you might have stayed there! I had a Rotel about 15 years ago and it produced a super cup of espresso.

Do not pop $1000 for a first machine because you will then have to also pop $400 for a suitable grinder.

Well, it looks like we've done it again. Poor fellow has $1000 budget and we've already got him up to at least $1500 and still counting. I've never played with a lever machine, but read the thread on the Lusso machines here at HB. Sounds like a very nice piece of equipment for about $700. Good luck. Michael
