I just took delivery of a used La Valentina auto and it came with the E61 pod adapter dispersion screen. I can get a standard dispersion screen locally, which I'll do ASAP, but how does the pod adapter thing come out?

I looked at the parts diagram on the Grimac website: http://www.espressomachinecatalog.com/i ... a_0609.pdf and it looks like it's a press fit, but I'm not sure. I tried to gently lever it out with two screwdrivers, but it won't budge. The pod adapter consists of this: http://www.1st-line.com/parts/other/MG2 ... dapter.htm which looks like the parts diagram. It appears I may need to get a "sprayer" (#12 on the parts diagram) or is that the center portion of the pod adapter that I can pop out?

Lastly, there are two group gaskets available: 8mm and 8.5mm......any idea which would work better?

PS: I looked at the threads regarding removing the E61 screen/gasket and re-installing, but there's nothing about removing the pod adapter assembly. I'm a bit hesitant to start prying the heck out of it because I don't want to damage the surrounding machinery. I'm going to toss the pod adapter when I'm done, but I don't want to damage the brew group in the process. TIA

More searching yielded an answer, which is the pod adapter unscrews. I'll need to get a spanner wrench or somehow unscrew the thing. Any idea about the 8mm vs. 8.5mm gasket?
