Hey folks,
Stupid question here, I'm trying to get at the boiler of my mid-80's Baby Gaggia, I've got the housing all unscrewed and ready to lift off, with the exception of the steam knob on the top.
I don't want to wrench it off and risk breaking it so I thought I'd put it out to the HB community for help.
Attached is a photo of the model I'm working on, I grabbed it from Flickr (user: yetibiker) - I've looked at schematics and there appears to be some sort of clip or spring holding the steam knob in place, but I can't see a dang thing under it.

If anyone has any experience getting these things off, please let me know.
Many thanks,

-GB.

My machine is a few years older:

But I bet the steam knob is the same: There is a spring inside the knob but you can't access it. The knob is essentially holding on by friction, you just need to pry the knob up and it will eventually pop off.

Perfect, that's what I thought, just wanted to double check first.
Thanks for the advice - that's a great looking machine you've got there!
