Help Needed - Newly rebuilt LaPavoni "Pub" Startup Problems - Page 3

Ideor, Many thanks for the info and good wishes. Extractions have been good but we haven't yet been using any premium coffee beans.

Actually my wife and I are just now leaving to drive into downtown Seattle to visit "Vivace" and pick up some of their excellent "Vita" and "Dolce" espresso beans! I'm sure this will be a test of my fledgling/developing barista skills. I hope someday to come somewhere close to what their barista's deliver.

I plan to order the membrane kit for the pressurestat later today from "Cafeparts".

Can you or someone confirm that the following part is the one for the SIRAI pressurestat I have and (the same one pictured in Ed Needham's machine)? It does have a LaPavoni part number in their catalog.

there are only two types of membrane for sirai; the one you pictured and a much earlier one secured by 12 (?) screws. I don't think the latter example is easy to get anymore. I think the design change occurred in the early '80s.

If you look on the underside of the pstat, if the bellows housing has 4 screws then the pictured part is the one to have.
cheers
