Correct, the LSM is 55mm - however on espressoparts.com the Scace Device appears to fit a variety of machine types (including LSM). I had hoped this meant it came in a wider variety of sizes. Obviously not, however.

The easiest way to find pull temps is to take the screw out of the portafilter and slide a thermometer into the hole, the type of thermometer that you would measure the milk with, settle it down with a rubber band on the handle if you want to check temps for more than one pull and pull away..
It's really easy and you can see how the temp changes through the pull..
