Gaggia Dose gasket

Postby vgb on Wed Apr 22, 2009 5:42 am

I recently bought a "nearly new" Gaggia dose machine and there doesn't appear to be a gasket - the machine cannot build up any pressure and the filter holder does not form a seal. I have seen many sites on how to fit the gasket to a classic machine but the Dose machine appears to be a bit different and there are no allen screws after taking off the shower disc. Does anyone have any advice?
Many thanks.

The Gaggia Espresso Dose is one of their newer machines with a stainless steel rather than aluminum boiler. Since it does not have a screen holding plate, there are no allen bolts after taking off the shower screen. The group gasket is slightly different than the standard Gaggia gasket. You can see a picture of it compared to the standard gasket below. You can see other pictures of these machines in the Gaggia users group: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Gaggia/photos
In the US, you can order the gasket from Whole Latte Love.
