Gaggia Coffee: No Water Flow

Hi
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction to resuscitate my Gaggia Coffee.
My Gaggia Coffee has stopped working for a few weeks, and today I decided that Turkish Coffee wasn't for me; so I dismantled it using a few different websites, though none were Gaggia Coffee specific, mostly Gaggia Classic.
Then I found this website:
http://www.partsguru.com/user/ER0077-01.PDF
ISSUE:
- Water/Steam from wand
- No water from Group Body
SUSPECTED CAUSES:
- Clogged
- Pump
- Screen
OBSERVATIONS:
- To my amazement, almost everything was fairly clean inside.
METHOD:
Taking the unit apart was surprisingly straight-forward. Cleaned everything in a strong citric acid bath and reassembled.
Oops didn't notice this thing called a "Group Valve Assembly". Disassembled again.
Expected it to be clogged and once again looked pristine, a little aged, but clean.
QUESTIONS:
From what I can see from the wiring, the thermostats don't control anything other than turning on the heaters and maybe a LED.
WHAT can be stopping the flow of water ... what am I missing? It really seems as if the operations is nothing more than turn the pump on and either direct water to either the wand or group assembly.
Is the pump tired?
Is there a clog in the Group Assembly I can't see?
The screen has every hole unplugged.
Once again, any help would be appreciated.
Nils

Do you hear the pump and if so does it sound as if running dry?
On the gaggia classic you can hear the pump sound change when the water level is dropping close to empty...check if the water inlet tube is actually IN the water tank, if so try blowing in it when the pump is running...I did clear air locks that way on my GC on several occasions.

Thanks,
The tube is in the water and draws perfectly for the steamer and hot water coming out of the wand.
And yes, the pump is always noisy.
