Personally, if the pressurestat click is the main issue (which it is for me along with the wide dead band), then I would just swap out the pressurestat for a CEME pressure switch and SSR. I've just got all the parts in and will be doing this for my Linea sometime this week. I can take some photos and write up the procedure if anyone is interested. I wouldn't bother worrying about heating element life - in the rare instance that the element might fail then a new one costs a lot less than PIDing the boiler.
