I have a older Faema Due (the one with the wine color plastic facing) 2 head unit. I have 2 questions:
-How do I program the length of the shot
-Left head runs quite freely, while right head runs slow and sluggish. I am backwashing like a fiend, with no positive result. Do I then have to replace the valve for this head?
Thanks Km

Km,

I have a Faema Due as well... as to your questions.

I have not reprogrammed mine b/c the touchpads were worn out and I just wired up a start and stop switch for each group. But if I remember correctly (can't find the link right now) I am pretty sure you hold down stop for a bit, then the machine beeps, then you hit what ever button you wish to reprogram, wait till the correct volume has flowed them push/hold down that button to stop it. If that is not precisely correct, from my poor recollection it is something moderately similar to that. I do encourage you though to use just the start/stop buttons and pay attention to how your shot is flowing.

Secondly, the flow issue (I am about 99% positive of this) has nothing to do with a bad lucifer solenoid but actually scale build up. You will almost have to take apart your group head and clean your jet and all passages between the HX connections and your group screen. I have some photos of my rebuild here... http://backlot42.com/?cat=9 take some time and descale the parts, replace your group screen and gasket, clean the filter on the jet, the jet itself, etc. Have fun with it and enjoy it. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have, and there are many many other more qualified people around here who will be very helpful as well.
