Expobar Office Control behaving strange

Postby breaky9973 on Sat Jul 16, 2011 6:28 am

We have since a few months, a new Expobar Office Control.

Since a few weeks the machine, when turned on, behaves strange and erratically.

Buttons on the control panel will light up by it self and the machine starts brewing. Often it just goes quickly on and off in a few seconds....but honestly, there is no pattern in it.

I opened the machine, looking for water damage on the control panel, but everything looks spotless and in order.

The machine is grounded but I have to say, electricity is not stable in this part of the world (I live in Laos)

I hope someone can help me, before sending it back to the dealer in Thailand, which is quite expensive.

Any tips would be welcome.

I might be able to help some on the electrical end of things so: Is the power supply of the right voltage/frequency? Does this machines main power switch maintain or does it need to be pushed again if the power is interrupted? Has it ever worked properly? Unplug it and make sure all the connections/terminals are in place and or tight. Also try this while unpluged: work all the switches and see if they feel "right", they should click into the on or off position solidly unless they are the hold in place type (momentary switch action).
Hope this is of value, good luck.
