Espresso Machine Not Used in Awhile - Steps?

Hello all,

Due to some health issues and a newborn, my Vivaldi II has gone unused for a couple months - what steps should I take to start using it again? Anything in particular I should clean or purge?

If it's only been a couple months, flushing the boilers probably suffices to eliminate a funky taste. If it doesn't, follow the same steps as a descaling. Advice about bringing an espresso machine out of storage? offers other recommendations.
