Elektra Semiautomatica Steam Valve Replacement

My elektra semi (which i just got and LOVE - thanks TomC) leaks a small amount of steam from the steam valve when it's fully open. Anyone experience anything similar? I'm guessing I just need to replace it with this?

When it's open? Do mean out of the tap area?

I replaced mine a few years ago. Don't remember any particular difficulty replacing the part. I ordered chrome - was sent brass - kept it anyway... (expensive little part.)

hen I turn it counterclockwise to start steaming - if i turn it the full 90 degrees it starts to steam out form the valve area slightly.

I don't remember now how that part was worn out.
