Elektra Semiautomatica Pressurestat Problems

Postby Grant on Tue Nov 13, 2007 3:03 pm

Have a client with a fairly new Semiautomatica (4-5 months old) used about 3 times per day, which includes steaming each time, and the pressurestat on the machine is stuck (overheating if turned on).

He has only used RO water to fill the boiler, so I don't believe scale buildup should be a problem, but other other than "exercising" the pressurestat in case it is just mechanically stuck, any other suggestions?

A descale may be in order "just in case" I guess. Other than a weak citric acid solution brought into the boiler and left to warm up for a while, any other descaling suggestions?

I don't know if he wants to get to the point of pulling the pressurestat to visually check it.

Grant-

Jim Schulman (and many others) have had this problem, link to a comment from Jim. He recommended the CEME over the MATER as a fix.
