Hi

I've got an Elektra Semiautomatica that I've had for 2 years now and it's served me well. Yesterday however the boiler refused to turn off so the pressure just kept rising and the security valve started letting off steam. I've emptied the boiler, had a little peek around the insides of the base and didn't see anything wrong. Any ideas what might cause this and how to fix and if necessary, where to order spare parts?

The Elektra Semiautomatica has a number of reports of pressurestat problems:

• Elektra Semiautomatica Pressurestat Problems
• Elektra Semiautomatica sticky pressurestat and descaling
• Elektra Semiautomatica with no heat, lights on, but no boiler pressure
• Elektra Semiautomatica SXC will not heat up
• Excess Boiler Pressure in Elektra Semiautomatica
• Elektra Semiautomatic normal boiler pressure

These all point to a defective pressurestat.

Thanks for this, I was missing the key word when searching for answers, namely "pressurestat" I'll have a dig around for one of those and then I should be back in business!
