Elektra Parts Availability - Older models

Postby Grant on Sun Jun 21, 2009 1:49 pm

Does anyone know if the older Elektra machines use the same (in general) parts as the newer models or if direct replacement parts are available?

I have the opportunity to purchase one of these for a pretty reasonal price:

I am told it was recently professionally descaled/serviced (including new pump?!? - kinda indicates to me some potential other issues...but who knows for sure)....my main concern would be getting (if needed) a replacment heating element, seals for the hot water/steam valve, group head gasket, etc. All the usual culprits in restoring to good condition.

Any thoughts...

Sorry, not in Canada; but speaking generally, non-OEM parts manufacturers would certainly cover machines this old. I restored a 2gr maxi of similar vintage a couple of years ago without problem. Don't let this worry hold you back. These are good little chaps.
cheers

we have parts however we are in Oregon but we do ship worldwide
they are good machines still a lot of them around
the only part no longer available ( a part from body parts)
is the old style steam valve main body but all the other valve parts are
we also have a "special " tool which will re-rim the inside of the valve nipple until there is still brass inside

Well, I am told it received a complete overhaul less than 1 year ago (gaskets/seals replaced and pressurestat replaced) and also has a new pump/selenoid installed as well (May). It has also been "professionally" descaled.

$1100.00 (Canadian). I am tempted. Just have to measure the counter again to see what it will look like.
