Elektra D1-S adjusting shot volume

Postby addict on Sat Aug 21, 2010 6:07 pm

Crikey, what a wealth of information there is here.
I am a relatively new coffee addict of only 3 years.
First time I have owned an Elektra (D1-S) and cannot figure how to adjust the auto shot volume.
Its currently serving 18ml and i would like to adjust to about 28ml.
certainly appreciate any help :?

-Pump was wound up to 12 bar !
-pressure relief valve was corroded closed!
-water level indicator was above steam wand intake!
not to sure what a coffee from this machine would have been like !!

Unless I am thinking of an entirely different unit, the Elektra D1S I have in mind is a semi-automatic 2 group machine.

Do you by chance have the TS on the bottom left?

Agreed. According to the manufacturer's website, the Elektra D1-S is the semi-automatic version of the 2-group Modern, while the Elektra T-S is the volumetric/full-automatic version.

I don't have a "Modern"; I have a "Sixties" -- the 1-group volumetric Elektra T1 . If you look at the picture, you'll see that there is a little key -- like a burglar alarm key -- above the Power On/Off light. I know that's how you program the volumes with my machine -- turn the key, program the three single buttons, and the volumes are automatically doubled for the double buttons. BUT I don't see a similar lock/key setup on the Modern Maxi.

Cheers,
Jason
