I've adjusted the OPV to a slow flow at 11 bar and then dialed the pump pressure down to around 9 bar. Problem appears to be solved. Thanks Eric, you're the man!
BTW, pump is the Fluid-O-Tech CA054Z.
Cary, yes it's a switchable model. Mine is running off the tank in my current location but I thought it can't hurt to get the switchable model since it was the same price in case I ever move somewhere were my wife would let me put a hole in the countertop. If there were a price difference I probably would have gone for the tank only model.

Keno, looks like they've upped the price on your model by $200.
Can you tell me how long it takes for your machine to reach operating temperature?

You interrupted me from reading about one of your thermometers at Chris Coffee. You ARE the man.
Thank you!

Hi
I just got my Technika Profi IV (switchable) 5 days ago and noticed something similar. 15 minutes after switching the machine on, this is how it looks. (picture attached) Not a lot of water, but it's dripping. I think this started yesterday, or I might not have noticed before.
When pulling a shot the pressure is 9 bar.
Should I be doing what Eric described?

Probably not as that "looks" right and certainly your brew pressure is set correctly.Should I be doing what Eric described?

Thanks for you answer Eric.
I now noticed the infusion cylinder is dripping after I turn the machine off. Is that normal?
1 drop / 6-7 seconds. And slowly decreases to zero.

The ideal procedure prior to shutting the machine down would be to do a plain water flush for about 5 seconds and then do a plain water backflush . . . once or twice.
If by "infusion cylinder" you mean the bottom of the group, then yes, a few drips are normal. Leakage from the fitting you showed in your pic should only occur during normal warm-up if the pressure in the heat exchanger circuit reaches ~ 11 bar due to thermal expansion.
