ECM Michelangelo is alive, well, and living in my kitchen!

Postby john_K on Sun Aug 26, 2007 12:03 am

After months of being relegated to the garage, my ECM Michelangelo is in its prominent position in our kitchen. I've been using it on a daily basis in my workshop and found it to be an outstanding performer. I honestly don't see an upgrade in my future. The 8 liter boiler provides more steam than I could ever use and a very stable group temperature. I'm in espresso nirvana. :D

John that looks great! I see from your product list that you have both a SJ and the Macap in the picture. Which do you like best and why? I'm contemplating getting one of those Macaps like in your photo. Thanks for any thoughts you may have.

I'd say the Mazzer is a "better" grinder... It's much faster and produces a slightly better grind. That said, the Mazzer is much bigger (won't fit under my cabinets) and a lot messier due to the doser. The Macap is a perfect compromise.
