It bleeds off air that can get in the line if you run the pump dry or get air in the pickup line when you change the reservoir. The older ecm machines didn't have them. Mine didn't have one either. I don't think you need it, it will just take a while to prime the pump if you get air in the line. But I think they are pretty cheap if you want to add it in. I had one laying around, so I added it to my machine. I am actually thinking about taking it back off... It seems to take longer for the pump to build pressure when you start a shot. And I don't take the reservoir out of the machine because I can fill it with my sink sprayer without taking it out.

Hay
Thank you all

May be because of that my brewhead pressure gauge, gets air in side of him and because of that he isnt stable?
His jumping and getting crazy.
But if I am open him and get him dry with hair fan he's back to normal and start again after a few shots

Thank you

Your brew pressure gage either needs to be "oil filled" (glycerin) or be fed with small COILED capilliary tubing similar or identical to ECM Giotto models equipped with a brew pressure gage.

Do you have a line such as this connecting your gage?

here some photos

this is the gauge

this is how i connect it inside the machine

i start to think that all of my problems with the gauge is because he is very very close to the boiler,
do you think that because the gauge so close to the boiler, and get really hot, so the water inside of him start to boiling and because of that it happen?

here is a short movie with the gauge got wild :)

thank you for your help
