Saw this beauty on eBay today. Is it the deal it seems to be? It certainly is a beautiful machine!

It looks spectacular, if you can handle it. That is one massive espresso machine. For that money, I'd just get a new A3 for home use. If you've got a shop whose decor could support such a beast, then it's probably a real steal. It looks to be in nice shape, and the seller seems to understand the use of water softeners and detergent (two very good things to see), but I would want to know a lot more about the details of how well cared for the internals of that machine are. If it's been out of service for 3 years or more, there's a good chance it will need a bit of refurbishment.
Still, even if you had to replace the pump, seals/gaskets, portafilters, that would be quite the deal--those machines are crazy expensive new.

Somehow I think my wife might not go for that behemoth. I was more intrigued by the possibility of such a gorgeous machine for what seems to be such a small price, even should it require some refurbishment as you said Shadowfax. I have to admit, if I had the money, it would look mighty fine as the centerpiece of a massive home espresso bar...

I ended up be the very lucky one to get that machine. Can't wait - it's being shipped in a week-ish. I was very nervous because of the size but I also recognized the deal of the century. Any comments, reviews, thoughts or advise on "Belle" would be greatly appreciated!

It may be too late for this advice, but I'll offer it anyway since the auction listing suggests that the bids never went above reserve. Be wary of "second chance" offer scams that go outside of the eBay/Paypal system -- you lose any protection that you may have had when you deal directly with the seller (or someone imitating them).doubleOsoul wrote:I ended up be the very lucky one to get that machine. Aside from that, I hope everything works out, and that you'll enjoy a beautiful (and massive!) machine and piece of industrial art.
