This is a question to owner of the Dalla Corte mini. I noticed that the machine signals that the water tank is empty where it is in fact still 1/3 full. Is this normal behaviour? If not, is there an easy way to change this?

I would think it's normal as *some* water needs to remain in the tank for auto-filling the boilers; the designers can't let the boilers run dry, and they have to assume that you might steam several pitchers of milk before discovering the tank needs refilled.

Some espresso machines use a spring-loaded switch under the tank to detect the "out of water" condition; if so, you can usually adjust them by lowering/raising the switch's plunger height. Other espresso machines use a float with a magnet, in which case the water level trigger level typically isn't adjustable.
