Cleaning products Isomac Venus suitable

Postby Gene on Wed Jan 18, 2012 10:18 pm

I understand from reading several postings on HB that some cleaning agents are not good for all machines. If so, does anyone know which one would be suitable to clean or backflush my Isomac Venus?
I really enjoy being part of the community on HB,, thanks all !

with my old venus:
i would water backflush after every round (i.e. one, two or three consecutive shots)
do a joe glo backflush every week or two (depending on usage)
and
descale with dezcal every 6 mo or so.

have fun- it's a great machine

Just curious, but why would normal everyday cleaning products not be recommended (cafiza, etc)? Looking for information, not FUD or magic.

Is there a materials issue (brass vs aluminum, for example) leading to a particular recommendation?

You cannot use a descaler to backflush and a backflush to descale, but detergent is detergent and descaler is descaler. No reason you cannot use any backflush detergent in the machine. I have been using JoeGlo for years but any of them will work.
