Cimbali M32 - Dosatron Problem

Postby jonescr on Thu Aug 18, 2011 3:16 am

Hi All,

I have buy a used Cimbali M32 Dosatron,..

I have some problem here, hope i could find help from you guys..

1. Start-up problem
When I switch the power on, from usually we will hear an instant beep and then the display shows up..
But now, the is no more instant beep.. a blank screen, and sometimes i must wait 2 minute before the beep and the display shows, sometimes 10 minute.. sometime 1 minute only... any advise why this happen ?

2. Pump power source problem
We know, when there is not enough water on boiler, there is an automatic system to refill the boiler rite ?..
Okay,.. when not enough water in the boiler,... the low water indicator light go on (OK), filling solenoid valve open (OK), Pump Dead (PROBLEM).

First i guess, the motor capacitor maybe bad, but after i test the motor, it all okay, it run well and could pump water well..

The motor get power from a wire N(Blue) and Phase(Brown), and a Ground(Yellow). When I by pass the Phase to main source, the pump is run. So, there is no problem for the Neutral wire/source.
Then, i trace where the black wire come from...

Here it is the black wire source : i put an arrow..

and here its the complete main board area :

Any idea how to fix it ?...

3. Small capacitor blown up
After the main switch (Off-ON-HeaterON) , i found 3 small capacitor,.. two of them are blown up.... but, after i remove those two,.. the machine still work.. any idea what is the use of those small capacitor ?

All the rest function is okay...programming, etc. all okay...

Thank you very much before for your help.

Regards,
Jhonny

I've never seen one of those and you're way to far away for me to be of much help. Capacitors tend to be for timing or noise suppression. If the ones that blew were for timing something probably won't work, if they were for noise suppression it still might seem to work fine but have some occasional odd behavior when something resets. Can you replace the bad capacitors? Can you figure out what they were? Do you know what shape they were.

More thoughts. Pumps are usually run by relays and relays commonly make a slight clicking noise. When you think the pump should run, do you hear that slight clicking noise? If so, see which relay is getting power to the coil and if power is being connected to the other side. Be careful, you messing around with enough voltage to kill you if you connect yourself to the wrong things.
