You can also get a nice bottomless from Stefano that works well on the Elektra.

12mm is relatively standard. The Rancilio portafilters use a very odd setup as do the Gaggia's. The LM GS3 portafilters use a M10 stud where the rest of the LM line uses a M12. LaSpat uses a M12 but a fine pitch thread and the lever machines tend to use an odd size. The Elektra lever uses a M8 on the portafilter and M10 on the lever but the Penny bottomless portafilters use a M12 but the stud is part of the portafilter so the handle is female, as are most lever machines.
