Bezzera Elisse component leaking, help!

Postby agaudry on Sun Mar 29, 2009 4:05 am

bezzera elisse component leaking!! help with identifying problem please..
Water is coming out of component No.2 as itemised below. Any ideas - i can't afford an engineer to fix this but could do with a helping hand in the way of 'picking s'one's brains' about it and then 'hopefully' just changing a washer (gasket) of whichever component need replacement! Thanks in anticipation. I have a temp fix in place at present but want to sort it out properly. Thanks again Alan

The component that is leaking certainly APPEARS to be the mixing valve for the hot water dispensing system. The likely culprit is a broken o-ring (7496009) which serves to seal the "adjuster" (5263801) as it screws in/out of the fitting (5225208). Without trying to trace out your hydraulics, I would shut off the water supply to a cold machine and break out the wrenches.

Simply replacing the o-ring (7496009) MAY solve the problem but as long as you're in there, I would replace all three components. Lubricate the new o-ring with a light smear of food-safe grease (Dow-Corning 111) and seal the threads of the fitting (5225208) with a suitable thread sealant prior to installation.
