Not to state the obvious, but if you have power to the heating element (checked it powered on at the heater terminals) you have a bad heating element. What was the ohm reading on the element?
1 - Disconnect machine from power. 2 - Remove both leads from heating element. 3 - Using low ohm function on meter, measure between the two heating element terminals. If you get something around ten to twenty ohms or thereabouts (a guess) go to 4. If not, go to 5. 4 - Measure between one heating element terminal and the metal element base plate, and then repeat with the other terminal. Should be ∞ ohms (no continuity) in either test. 5 - As Stefano stated, I think you will find that the element measures ∞ ohms (no conduction of electricity) and needs to be replaced.
