Postby gusman123 on Thu Dec 01, 2011 5:45 pm

Hi guys. I ve owned my Baby Gaggia for a little over a year and it s been a week or so now that when coffe is finished brewing, it continues to drip to the pont where this morninig I filled the tank as usual and just let it sit there while the machine was on and within a matter of minutes the tank was empty. Does anyone have any ideas....Thanks in advance for your help.

So you're saying that the water continues to drip from the brew group after the shot is done? This can happen if the machine is getting scale build up inside the group.

If you remove the shower screen and dispersion block, there is a small hex bolt above the dispersion block that you can unscrew. There should be a spring and nylon ball above the bolt. Clean those up by soaking in vinegar or citric acid and reassemble everything. It should stop the drip.

You might also want to do a descale of the boiler while you're at it.

Good luck.
