Anyone heard of Ducale espresso machines? - Page 2

The group is bolted directly to the boiler by means of a great big flange, so it should warm up nicely. A large coil of small diameter copper pipe should take care of the HX duties. By 'thoughts' I was hoping for more in the way of ideas than naysay.

If it were mine I think I'd be headed in the direction of trying to restore it to its original function. Could be kind of a fun project.

Okay, my advice would be to bolt on a couple of levergroups. Just like Achille Gaggia did, more than 60 years ago. Or some hydraulic groups if you could find them.
The groupheads aren't built for 9 bars, so you would probably need to scrap them anyway.

Cheers Hal, but this thing would really have to earn its keep. Sadly my house is nothing like big enough for a 3' x 2' x 2' museum piece. Either I make it work or it goes in the skip!

I understand. I was just trying to redefine "make it work." :D
